Celebrating The Retirement Of Our Founder Seamus O'Callaghan
After more than three decades of dedication, innovation, and leadership, everyone at Durapak Agri would like to congratulate our founder, Seamus O'Callaghan, on his retirement. Seamus established Durapak in 1991, initially supplying crop packaging solutions to Irish farmers, before going on to develop the renowned Triple Lock slat rubber system—an innovation that helped set new standards for animal housing and welfare. Through his vision, commitment to quality, and deep understanding of farmers' needs, Seamus built Durapak into a trusted name across the agricultural industry. As he begins this new chapter, we extend our sincere gratitude for his outstanding contribution to agriculture and wish him every happiness, health, and success in his retirement.

The P-ACE Protocol
In January 2026, Durapak Agri launched a proactive, science-led system designed to support cattle throughout their lifetime. We call it the P-ACE Protocol — Pro-Actively Controlled Environments.
P-ACE is about prevention rather than reaction. Instead of managing problems after they appear, it focuses on creating conditions where animals can thrive naturally. The protocol is built on three practical pillars: Housing, Hardware, and Hygiene.
Durapak Agri Unveils A Refreshed Brand Identity
In February 2025, Durapak Agri unveiled a refreshed brand identity under the tagline "Long-life solutions for long-life cows", emphasizing its core mission of delivering high-quality, long-lasting solutions that enhance animal welfare, productivity and longevity. With a reinforced commitment to product excellence and farmer-focused service, Durapak Agri is poised for a strong future, ensuring that farmers across Ireland, the UK, and beyond have access to the best solutions for their livestock.
Jamie Hayes appointed as Durapak's General manager
To lead this new chapter, Jamie Hayes was appointed as General Manager of Durapak Agri in January 2025. With extensive experience in agricultural product management and business growth, Jamie will drive the brand’s expansion, ensuring that farmers continue to receive the reliability and performance they expect from Durapak products.
Creva International Expands with Durapak Agri Acquisition
In 2023, Creva International took a significant step forward in its commitment to agricultural innovation with the acquisition of Durapak Agri. This strategic move strengthens Creva’s position in the market by integrating Durapak’s high-quality product range with Creva’s expertise in delivering value-driven solutions to farmers and agribusinesses.
Triple Lock Slat Rubber Launched
After years of research, development, and on-farm testing, Durapak Agri proudly launched Triple Lock Slat Rubber to the market in 2006. Designed to improve cow comfort, footing, and confidence on concrete slatted floors, Triple Lock represented a significant advancement in livestock housing technology. The unique locking system was developed to provide a secure and durable fit while withstanding the demanding conditions of modern dairy and beef farms. The launch marked a major milestone for Durapak, reinforcing the company's commitment to innovation and its mission to deliver practical solutions that improve animal welfare, farm efficiency, and long-term profitability for farmers across Ireland and beyond.
Durapak Agri Expands Into Cow Comfort
Following a successful first year supplying crop packaging products, Durapak Agri continued its commitment to supporting progressive farmers by introducing EVA Cubicle Mats to its product range in 1992. Recognising the growing importance of cow comfort in modern dairy farming, these durable and comfortable mats were designed to provide cows with a better lying surface while helping farmers improve animal welfare and housing conditions. The addition of EVA Cubicle Mats marked Durapak's first step beyond crop packaging and into livestock housing solutions, laying the foundation for the company's future focus on innovative products that enhance farm performance, animal comfort, and profitability.

January 1991 marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Irish agriculture with the launch of Durapak Agri. Founded by Seamus O'Callaghan, the company was established with a simple mission: to provide farmers with reliable, high-quality crop packaging products backed by excellent customer service and practical farming knowledge. Starting with a range of crop packaging solutions designed to help farmers protect and preserve valuable forage, Durapak set out to build strong relationships with customers and become a trusted partner on farms throughout Ireland. This launch represents the first step in what we hope will be a long journey of innovation, growth, and support for the agricultural community.
