š§šŖ A Belgian Farm Visit with Jamie from Durapak
Talk Cow, Not Bull ā Episode 1 Recap - Watch it here
For the very first episode of Talk Cow, Not Bull, we kicked things off in Belgium with a visit to a top-class dairy farm nestled between the North and Brussels. With 350 cows, four Lely robots, and a pristine setup, this farm had plenty to admireābut also a few lessons to learn.
Joining Noel on the trip was Jamie, General Manager of Durapak, one of Creva Internationalās growing family of agri-focused brands. Together, they explored everything from animal health and infrastructure to tractors, tech, and the future of farming.
š From Rebel County to the Frontlines of Agri Innovation
Hailing from Cork and raised on a mixed farming background, Jamie brings deep personal experience to his role. Before taking the reins at Durapak, he worked with AHV, where he developed a strong belief in proactive animal healthāan approach that aligns perfectly with Crevaās mission.
āIf we donāt have the solution, weāll recommend someone who does. Itās about being of service first.ā
š Real Talk with Real Farmers
Whether it's walking through calving sheds or chatting about GPS-guided fertiliser spreaders, Jamieās conversations on farms are never just about salesāthey're about solving problems. He spoke passionately about the importance of connecting with farmers at ground level, sharing knowledge, and building trust.
His favourite breed? A Charolais x Simmental for beef, and a sturdy Irish Holstein for dairy. His go-to tractor? A Fendtāthough he grew up in a New Holland household!
š® Eyes on the Future
The episode also looked ahead to what's comingāfrom slat-friendly rubber matting to expansion across Europe. Jamie and Noel reflected on technologyās role in modern agriculture, including a bold prediction that humanoid robotics and autonomous tractors may be part of everyday life on Irish farms in the not-too-distant future.
āWeāre not just here to sellāweāre here to create value and help farmers stay ahead.ā
As the pair wrapped up their whirlwind Belgian tour at Brussels Airport, one thing was clear: Talk Cow, Not Bull is here to spotlight real stories, real solutions, and real people who care about the future of farming.
