Silobags & Easilo

Silobags are designed to hold plastic film in place. The bags are filled with gravel or stones (Sand should not be used because it absorbs water that can freeze and this is not ideal).

Each silobag, which will cover about 1m in length or just over 3ft, has a closing twine incorporated and is the only bag on the market with such a closing mechanism.

They help in speeding up the pit covering operation. Silobags are particularly good along walls and are much better than fertiliser bags or tyres. Silobags also prevent silage contamination as earth or manure or water can lodge inside old tyres.

Additionally, old tyres can have wire protruding which can damage silage plastic. This is not a problem with Silobags which are much safer and cleaner.
